Traditional allies
of the United States, New Zealand and Australia are neighboring countries geographically
isolated in the South Pacific. Although differing in climate, both countries
have developed fine traditions in quality sheep meat production, and are
responsible for over 85% of internationally traded lamb volumes.
New Zealand Lamb
New Zealand is a land of outstanding beauty. It is a clean,
green country isolated in the southwest Pacific, about 1,400 miles southeast of
Australia. Approximately the area of Colorado, the country is as long as
California and Oregon combined; few places are more than 60 miles from the sea.
The climate is temperate with an abundance of rain and sunshine, so grass grows
everywhere - an ideal environment for sheep production. Naturally raised and
grass fed on abundant pasture, New Zealand lamb is lean, delicately flavored and
famous for its quality.
Pilot Brand New Zealand lamb is prepared to the most

Australian Lamb
Although famous for it's sunshine, beaches, and vast desert
interior, this huge country is roughly the same in size to the continental
United States, and is as geographically diverse. The country has many lush regions ideal for raising sheep.
Australia is the largest supplier of lamb imported into the United States.
