New Zealand Half Shell Mussels Greenshell Mussels are unique to New Zealand and are harvested from the pollution-free waters of Marlborough Sounds at the top of the South Island. They are cultivated in underwater mussel farms and grow to maturity on ropes suspended from the surface, thus guaranteeing freedom from sand, grit and other impurities. All cultivation, harvesting and processing is carried out in accordance with New Zealand Government regulation. New Zealand Greenshell Mussels can be served cold with a selection of dipping sauces, or heated and served with a favorite recipe. They will also provide distinctive flavor and interest to any seafood basket or platter. |
